This is the right course to enroll in as it will give the students great exposure to the many facets of the hospitality industry. What is your favorite part of teaching the HTIM business management course? My favorite part of teaching the HTIM business management course is the feedback from the students on the projects that they have prepared for the class as well as some of the creative ways and things that they do for guests and employees. How long have you been working in the industry? I have worked in the hospitality industry since 2000. What was your first job in hospitality? How did you get into this industry? My first job in the hospitality industry was as a banquet server. I was hired by my sister-in-law that was the banquet manager. Interesting and fun fact: As I close in on my 60th birthday, I still play full court basketball with the guys, 1 to 2 times a week. I still play baseball in an over 50 league in the summer and I still like to find time as a gamer. I have been married for 26 years, this June, to my beautiful bride Julie. We have had 4 children, Kelsey, Nate, Evan and Derek. They are all adulting and doing great! |
