How our certificate courses work.
When they enroll, students can choose to complete our certificate courses in a hybrid format. This format consists of both in-person instructor-led sessions as well as various online assignments. Each class group will contain no more than 30 students. In-person instruction is available at select locations throughout the state.
The HTIM Hospitality Business Management Certificate Course
HTIM’s premier course, this program includes 12 weeks of instruction covering a wide range of business and leadership topics. It is designed for employees who already have some experience working in restaurants, hotels, or other hospitality businesses, and want to step up to the next level in their career.
After the successful completion of this course, employees will have several nationally recognized certifications as well as the skills to become effective leaders.
Right now, the Hospitality Training Institute of Michigan is offering this course (a $2,500 value) AT NO COST for 2,000 registrants.

The Hospitality Supervisor Certificate Course - Coming Soon
While less comprehensive than our Hospitality Business Management Certificate program, this 12-week certificate course will lead to important nationally recognized certifications and prepare employees to move up to supervisory roles in hospitality.
The course will include instruction and coursework that leads to:
- The Certified Hospitality Supervisor Exam
- ServSafe Manager Certification
- ServSafe Responsible Alcohol Service Certification
