Have you sent employees to the HTIM course? If so, how many? I’ve sent 14 employees to the course and I’m in the process of registering more for the next session. How does your business benefit from employees completing the course? Pita Way will benefit from employees completing the course by giving some exposure to other concepts since many have only have Pita Way experience, which can be limiting. The financial management segment was especially beneficial to help my team transition from working at a Pita Way to running a profitable Pita Way. Of course, we can never have too much conversation around leadership and providing an outstanding guest experience. What advice do you have for others in the hospitality industry who are looking for ways to step up in their career? Never stop learning. Take advantage of any leadership training you can whether you have one year or 20 years in the industry. There is always more to learn and always much you can share with others. What advice do you have for other hospitality businesses who want to help employees improve their skills? Ongoing training is so important to develop and maintain skills and keep up with industry changes. Training will boost your team’s confidence and productivity, address skill gaps, and ultimately lead to improved job satisfaction and employee retention.
