How will this help you step up in your career?
The connections I’ve made in the course, along with the knowledge I’ve gained will help my career in the long run. I can use the skills I learned to be successful in management. The opportunity to join this course has changed my outlook on my career for a lifetime. What advice do you have for other others in the hospitality industry who are looking for ways to grow their career? My advice would be to connect with other industry professionals and build a strong network. What was your favorite part of the HTIM business management course? My favorite part was my instructor, Carrie Barix because she made the class fun and engaging. You can see the passion she has for the hospitality industry. How long have you been working in the industry? I’ve been in the service industry for about five years and newly in hospitality in the past year and a half. Can you share more background on your current role? My current role is a chef for the Graduate Hotel in East Lansing. What was your first job in hospitality? How did you get into this industry? The Graduate became my first hospitality job. I was looking for something more fulfilling but at a slower pace than the traditional hustle and bustle of a restaurant. Interesting & Fun Fact: My favorite place to travel is Detroit, it’s my hometown. It has a unique and exciting culinary scene. Comments are closed.
