This course has given me the skills and confidence to run my own restaurant or possibly my own small business one day. What advice do you have for others in the hospitality industry who are looking for ways to grow their career? Take this class and any others you have the opportunity to take to continue learning. What was your favorite part of the HTIM business management course? Networking with people! How long have you been working in the industry? I’ve been working in the industry 10+ years. Can you share more background on your current role? I work in a hotel restaurant as a food and beverage server part-time. What was your first job in hospitality? How did you get into this industry? I worked as a breakfast buffet server for a hotel. And I also did some banquet serving. Interesting & fun fact: I enjoy visiting any parts of Northern Michigan. I enjoy working with people. (Even the grumpy ones!) as everyone has a story. This is the type of job where you can listen to people and learn about them and a lot of times people become regulars. Comments are closed.
