What advice do you have for others in the hospitality industry who are looking for ways to grow their career? Always try to keep learning. The more you know, can help, and connect with your customers the better you will do in your field. What was your favorite part of the HTIM business management course? My favorite part of the course was the video assignment about conflict resolution. My 11 y/o son was able to participate, and it made the project really fun. How long have you been working in the industry? I’ve been in the restaurant industry for over 25 years. Can you share more background on your current role? As a front of the house manager, I help ensure the highest quality service, while assisting and coaching staff. What was your first job in hospitality? How did you get into this industry? My first job in the industry was as a dishwasher at a family-owned restaurant. I was quickly promoted to pizza maker, where I was able to make sauces, pizza crust and breads from scratch.
