What was your favorite part of the HTIM business management course?
The class discussions on experiences, dos & don’ts of working in the food service industry. Including food safety. I also learned quite a bit about customer service and management skills.

Why did you want to enroll in the HTIM business management course?
I was looking for an opportunity to learn something new. 
 
How will this help you step up in your career?
I have a friend who has a small catering business and I wanted to know the ins and outs of food handling on a formal level.
 
What advice do you have for others in the hospitality industry who are looking for ways to grow their career?

How long have you been working in the industry?
I currently do not work in the food service industry. I have worked with a friend and business owner of a catering business.
 
Can you share more background on your current role?
I’m retired from corporate America and I’ve only worked catering jobs as part of my friend’s business.
 
What was your first job in hospitality? How did you get into this industry?
Just helping out a friend or business owner with catering jobs.
 
Interesting and fun fact: 
From soul food to Asian to Mediterranean I love to eat food that just tastes really good. 
 
Anything else you’d like to share?
I may also explore opportunities in the hotel & restaurant business. I think it would be fun!
