How will this help you step up in your career?
This program will help me step up my career by teaching me what I need to know in the industry and what it takes to be a good manager. What advice do you have for others in the hospitality industry who are looking for ways to grow their career? Be patient with yourself. It takes time to learn and take in what you are learning. What was your favorite part of the HTIM business management course? My favorite part throughout the course was ServSafe and Training for Intervention Procedures (TIPS) certifications. How long have you been working in the industry? I have been working in the industry a little over 5 years. Can you share more background on your current role? Currently, I’m a line cook at Marrow and will become the kitchen manager at the restaurant’s new location Marrow Restaurant and Butcher Shop in Birmingham and I get to be part of the process of opening a new restaurant. What was your first job in hospitality? How did you get into this industry? ‘My first job in hospitality was Chipotle and I worked the line and as a cashier. Interesting and fun fact: I’m an aspiring food scientist. My favorite chef is Alton Brown from the food network.
